PERMANENT POSITIONS
Based on our experience at Crewfinders International, Inc., the following rates are primarily a guideline for yachts. It does not reflect
individual situations, nor differentiate between power or sailing vessel jobs.
In addition to salary, for live aboard positions it is customary and expected that owners will provide all food, transportation, uniforms, and other on board expenses such as laundry, soap, linens, etc.
Boat cars are usually supplied for larger vessels for the captain and crew to use for yacht business. Periodic performance evaluations and pay increases are standard. Vacation and time off vary with each vessel's schedule, however, several days per month to handle personal affairs and a minimum of two weeks annual vacation is customary. Health insurance is usually addressed after a probationary period of 60 to 90 days.
