The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show got off to roaring start with good attendance on opening day Thursday, October 31, 2001. Following days had mixed attendance but strong sales on the upper end and mixed results on the lower end of the spending profile. Most notable were two large yachts sold by Trinity. Dynatech Manufacturing
Jana Stolper was showing the Stolper 380 Tournament Express sportfishing boat to prospective buyers. Concord Marine Electronics
Michael Robilio, Ted Banning and Billie Hawkins were all happy with the turnout for the Boat Show booth this year. Marine electronics manufacturers offer special Boat Show discounts to compete for the heavy traffic opportunities. Concord posted these discounts and offered free boat show tickets on their web site this year.

Van der Velden USA
Lisa Herrin of Van der Velden Yachting USA, the U.S. sales arm of the Dutch articulated steering company was happy to annouce their product is being installed on one of the new Feadship builds due out in 2004. The Van der Velden rudder works much like an airplane foil to increase rudder angle reducing over all rudder angle.

Click for Larger Susanne Skaf, owner of Gerard's Service shows off yet another example of the fine service items Gerard's procures their many clients. Gerard's year round location at Bahia Mar is another plus at Boat Show time. Her new catalog and web site start off this season smartly.

Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 11/02/02
